A month on from the Prime Ministers announcement that we must all now ‘Stay at Home’. It all still feels very strange. Our industry has come to a halt just like the rest of the country but I’m confident that this rest will allow us all to come back much stronger than ever before. Let’s be honest – there’s no other way for it!
At the moment, we are still following government guidelines and our factory continues to be closed until further advice from the authorities in Scotland.
Immediately prior to our closure, we were working behind the scenes, from home (where possible), contacting as many of you as possible to explain what we would be doing as a business in this unprecedented situation and making sure everyone was ok. Our preference was to do this on a personal level as far as possible, rather than just sending out generic communications via email or on our website, etc.
Now, all of our staff are taking some time off to ‘Stay at Home’ and stay safe. However, we still have some members of our management team here working from home and ensuring the business is best prepared for when we come out the other side of this – AND WE WILL!
Over the past few weeks, we have been using our time to develop a plan for safe and compliant working both in the factory and the office, taking care to follow all guidelines on social distancing. We always place the health and wellbeing of our staff and their families above all else and whilst we are planning to re-open soon, we don’t believe that the time is quite right just yet even considering the UK government’s call for manufacturing to resume.
I know that most of you will be doing the same thing. Working at home to ‘Stay Safe’ but also not just waiting to see what happens next. I’m positive that you will all be working behind the scenes to make sure your businesses come out of this stronger and are ready to go safely when the time is right.
The reason for this message is simply to let you know that we are here throughout this whole process with you. We want to support you all, where we can, to get through this period. We want to offer you any help you require with your plans to get back to work safely. Whether supporting you with your website updates, marketing photography for your website / social media platforms or helping you update your pricing. We are here and very much available to help.
Our sales team aren’t available for the next short period, but I am here managing the sales and marketing side of the business throughout. We are contactable for placing new orders, account queries, payments, quotes and pricing. I am contactable at any point and am only too happy to help. Any new orders placed will be processed and assembled when we return to production. Everything I have mentioned above, I can help with.
